The S55 engine in the F80 M3 and F82/F83 M4 runs a high compression ratio with twin-scroll turbos — at stock heat range, pushing E85 or adding boost creates conditions the OEM plugs were not mapped for. The NGK 97506 (SILZKBR8D8S) is two heat range steps colder, purpose-built for modified S55 applications.
Iridium center electrode with platinum ground electrode — same wear resistance as OEM NGK plugs but at a heat range that handles E85, water/meth injection, and upgraded turbos without pre-ignition or misfires. Factory preset gap of 0.7mm. Drop in and go.
